    Stock B3 beat a 02-05 V8 Thunderbird tonight

    Drag raced a newer 280 hp T-bird tonight and beat him by 2 Festiva links. ( 1.5 car links )

    It's always so rewarding when i beat a car that gets less than half the gas mileage that i do !

    Was it raining out? That car should easily walk away from a stock festiva

        Every once in awhile you come across an opposing driver with no skills. I'm guessing it wasn't you in this case and you must have been piloting a 5 speed. That Festy's are seriously zippy is mostly the illusion of speed that comes from road and engine noise when you stomp on the pedal.
        However; congratulations.

          The newer Thunderbirds aren't horribly well designed cars. They weigh 3,700 lbs.

          I definitely had to get out of the clutch fast to keep him behind me though... -250 lb weight reduction helped too.

                  The T bird should have still walked you though if he actually put effort into the race
