  • Just a quick check, is this a bp?

    Hey guys,

some of you already know I'm still in the market for a BP motor, I came across this on craigslist today.

    http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/3410340958.html

I know the Ford Escort GT has the 1.8 BP in it, as well as the LX-E. This guys says he has a 1991 Ford Escort LX Sport GT?
My question is. Is this the motor I am looking for, I tried calling the guy, no answer thus far but if its a running BP, I'm taking it. Thoughts?

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

EWWW! I hate seeing those under the hood! It always makes me smile to see a BP though. Funny how the same car could receive two so VERY different engines.

Unfortunately no. The guy wasn't ready to sell it or had it sold by the time I tried to contact him... was very cold about it like you were saying he was to you. I've found a couple of things around st louis and such but yeah still having issues trying to get one.
