Had to be a manual tranny and they must have blocked the other wheel but I gotta admire these Ruskies for ingenuity. Maybe they'd seen some old Johnson and Evinrude outboards with their starter ropes coiled around the flywheel.Comment

Similar trick for airplanes:
You can even connect the rope from one engine to the other, then use the engine with the good starter to start BOTH engines.88L black, dailydriver
