All the other Saipas are Festiva/Aspire based as well, all with the B3.

Their newer looking cars look like they are straight from Nissan. (Ones not named Saipa)
1991 Ford Festiva BP (Full Aspire/Rio Swap) (337k Miles) (Around 95k Engine)
2002 Chevy Cavalier LS Sport 2.2L DOHC Ecotec (Threw a Rod)
          1998 Chevy Monte Carlo LS 3.1 V6 (225k miles) Best MPG = 28

Yes there is! I can't remember but it's somewhere on their site. The 130's are the sedans! You can also get an old Nissan Maxima, and Xterra rebadged by Saipa!

Amazing that a design from the mid 80s would endure for such a long period of time. However these cars are Iranian which means importing vehicles or even parts is entirely out of the question. The other thing (according to one of the forum members who lives in Iran, that we haven't heard from in awhile) is that the production quality from Saipa sucks a proverbial egg.
Sort of suggesting that if their nuclear development efforts are similarly composed, any day now there might be a large hole in the ground where that Country used to be!

you can't have a loophole when the law states point of origin (Iran), not point of purchace.

LOL thats a good one Bert! So whats the opposite of a "China Syndrome"? Would that be a "USA" syndrome if Iran has a meltdown?
edit: Or should I say a "North American" syndrome?

Rather than allow KIA or Mazda to outfit the Iranians with production facilities and plans for obsolete cars Western society should have freely given them Lucas Electrics and unlimited access to 60s and 70s British automobile technology. The whole Country would have ground to a halt and/or every able-bodied male would have been pressed into service to learn auto mechanics instead of how to use a gun.

I never had a bit of trouble with the Lucas electrics on the several British cars & motorcycles I've owned over the years...
