  • Did any have 13" wheels from new?

Here in the UK, I saw a '97 KIA Pride on 13" wheels the other day, it had 165/65x13 tyres all round, including the spare. This one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2211539679...84.m1438.l2648

I thought all our Festy/Prides came equipped from new with 12" wheels, unless anyone can tell me otherwise?

Possiblity it could have been upgraded. Here in the states, the 94-97 came with 13" wheels but it also was called an Aspire.

The Aspire was (as far as I know) never sold in the UK. I've got 13" rims for mine from a Suzuki Swift, but they're a different pattern.

That is pretty weird... Those are DEFINITELY Aspire Hubcaps. I wonder if they came with an aspire swap for some time in the UK?

Wow...just realized how nice that car actually looked and it said it ran. Sold for only 189 US dollars and it had power windows and the front seats with removable headrests.

I went to see it, it was a pile of poo!

It had a terrible misfire and was barely able to pull away as a result. It would clear if I got the revs high enough, but that was fraught as the brakes were practically non-existent! A quick look through the wheels showed the discs to be badly corroded. I suspect at least one wheel cylinder was seized as well.

It was badly corroded at the rear of the door sills. These had obviously been plated some years ago and were rotting again.

I went with a view to buying it to use and utilising mine for spares. I decided against it.

We don't have piles of cars in scrapyards in the UK. The price of scrap metal means they're recycled fairly promptly. I suspect it was bought for its scrap value and sold to a scrapyard immediately for around 50% more than its price.

It doesn't stop some people asking silly money: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1993-KIA-P...item2a268dc27b
