I know it was a strech to think this would work but hey it's cold outside, i do not have a garage or a torch and yes i was hoping, I know about the bolts and sleeves bonding together thats normal here in the rust belt. I'll see what i can get done when it gets warm outside and that can't be to soon. Thanks all
I'm sure money is tight, but for $25.00 you can get the Map gas bottle with the peizio ignitor. I have a full oxy/acet setup, but 90% of the time I grab the "Little Yellow Bottle". Takes 3 times longer than a true torch, but the end results are the same. I just had to replace the LCA on "Whitey". I know for a fact if I hadnt stuck the torch up in the access hole and heated the "Clip Nut". I would have been screwed-No pun intended. Use Penetrating oil all the time.....it never hurts. But in some case's months of submersion in oil wont do what heat will. 1) clean surface with wire brush. 2) Heat till you see cherry glow 3)Cool till you can touch it 4) Flood with oil 5) Try turning with wrench, never impact Most of the time its the SHANK of the bolt thats frozen not the threads(like FB71 said). 6) If its so tight that you feel your gonna snap the bolt, start this process over again. $25.00 Bro you'll wonder why you didnt spend the money sooner.
