Make sure that you unplug the in-vehicle event analysis recorder whenever you drive any rental vehicle. They go under the name of AutoPrism or Drivesync, et al.
Just pull it out of the OBD-II bus interface port. That way big daddy can't keep an eye on you every second. You may have to search a little harder if it is a covert install. There would be a lot of happy fleet truck drivers if there were a OBD-II style chip fryer.
