  • B6 exhaust manifold

    Anybody have a B6 factory boat anchor (exhaust manifold) on the shelf they could weigh. I just need to know.

    I already installed mine.....and it was HEAVY. I'm guestimating 20lbs or more.

      You'll want to specify which generation you're looking for, since they have very unique flanges between the generations last I checked. I assume round flange 86-89 but you may need the square flange 90-94 instead.

        per calibrated Faibanks digital scale
        8.62 lbs
        no studs
        no gaskets
        with four small M6 bolts that hold heat shield
        no heat shield
        no oxygen sensor
        short oil pan plug to fill oxygen sensor hole + copper crush washer

        That red thing you see in my avatar before I installed headers on my B6.

          Appreciate the response bravekozak, but there either should be a 1 in front of the 8.62 or we're talking about two different horses. I'm certain the weight is closer to blkfordsedans 20 than it is to 8.62. Avatar pic does look like it.

            LOL, I guess I was way off on that one! Old age is getting to me. I never was any good at estimating weight....good thing I'm not a drug dealer.
