  • My "Totaled" Aqua is back on the road.

The accident was 10/15/2012 and I finally finished all the work to get my 92 Aqua back on the road.
The pictures in this link show the damage and the finished restore as of 01/10/2013.

Thanks to FestYboy for all his advise via PM's.

      This is good news!!

Just looked at all the pics...yeah, that would have been a shame had that been taken off the road. Nice Festiva! I'm partial to the Aqua though!

                When is this clemson meet?

The car looks great but I am like Prafeston, partial to aqua.

I would love to have an auto aqua festy!

There was a pretty nice Aqua for sale by me, but it needed a head gasket replacement and was 100 miles away from me. Didn't wanna hassle with it. It also sold in less than 2 days!

Looks awesome. Better than new? I did not see how you fixed the frame rails that collapsed.

Bought my Aqua from a Salvage Yard for $375 in 2007. (See original picture in my FF.com album).
Spent around $2900 for parts (including a new engine), tires and maintenance on it since then.

Leverage... See the holes on each side where the bumper attaches.. I placed a Y shaped fulcrum on the ground in front of the hole,
inserted the largest round pipe that would fit in the hole until the end was at the crease, applied a very heavy weight to the other end of the pipe,
then did a combination of applying more leverage to the pipe and hitting it on the side with a sledge hammer until it was straight.
(Most of the bending from the collision was up.)

Thanks to fastivaca for sending me replacement grille clips all the way from Calgary. Looks better without all the zip ties when I open the hood.
