I get stopped at the end of our little 2 lane turning left onto the 4 lane to work. Something pulls in behind me and we both wait for green. I never push it in 1st gear, and everyone always knows I'll be slow as dirt so they start passing even before we're fully onto the 4 lane. Like halfway through the turn they're in the left lane and going. Anyway, I have no idea what's behind me, but I 1/4 throttle through 1st, shift EARLY into 2nd, and just as I see the lights start past my tail, I smoothly pin it and I manage to match them to the top of 2nd. They never gained an inch. Then I shifted kinda early and slowly, and they pull ahead. I figure what the hay, and pin it again. Matched them again. They can't get away, and they keep trying to probably around 80-ish, when I back off, shift up to cruise, and they pull off. It's hilarious. I was laughing the whole time. I guess they might have been messing with me, but it seemed like they were trying. Still funny either way.
