  • Front Grille Design

Can anyone tell me for sure what year they changed the grille design from the pix below?, ie, what year did they start producing the next generation design to replace the one that's pictured.

    1990???

    Thanks!

'88 and '89 used the grill pictured. '90 was the start of the next gen grill.

That's what I thought so thanks for clarifying that! (Personally, I like the 88-89 style best!)

P.S. - The more I look at your orange and white paint job the more I like it!

My next mod is an 88-89 grill with the center bar removed. All I need is some matching KJ blue........

Thanks! Gonna be a 5" wide center stripe, with 2 parallel 1" wide stripes with a 1/2" gap between them. All in white and only on the hood and grille. Just gotta find a blue that's dark enough to give good contrast but not so dark it loses the "blueness". I'm picky and, yes, I drive my wife crazy...
