Shipping is about $80 bucks though, which puts it dang close to what it would cost to have it done

Yea at $80 shipping cant see this being much of a bargain. Only $50 cheaper than a shop installing one. But packaging and shipping windshields has to be a nightmare so I can certainly see $80 price to ship.

Having a brother (masonic) who installs windshields ftw. Buy glass and buy beer, done.

Local is $200 installed last time I had one done. That was on a cavalier. Bigger glass if it makes any difference.
Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

I traded a carb rebuild for the windshield brand new and paid $100 for the guy that never has any leaks to install it.

I installed my own windshield. No problemo. But I used windshield tape instead of urethane.
That way if it ever gets broken again, I can reinstall it with ease.
