  • Yea, I'm Happy

Well, had to take Little Red to get it emission tested and with 205,772 miles on it, it passed all three emissions tests with flying colors. Its now good for another two years. After that, it will hopefully still be running and I'll only have to get one more emissions test and then it will be considered a classic and will not have to be emission again unless I sell it or give it away. Then I can get classic plates that will be good for five years each time. Its a good day.

Right on lad! May that eventful (depends on how you look at it) day occur to me someday soon too.
    "Stick it to the Man".
Real problem is "We" are "The Man" and have foolishly allowed all of this garbage to increasingly escalate for years, and not done anything about it.

Colorado changed the requirements for collector vehicle plates right before I moved from there back in '09. It is no longer 25 years or older, the car has to be 1975 model or older. However, your vehicle is grandfathered in if you already had the plates on a newer vehicle as long as you own it. http://www.colorado.gov/cs/Satellite.../1185870965443

Yes, if you already had the plates. When I lived there, I had a 1981 car and had the collector plates. I would be grandfathered in, but someone else with a 1981 and didn't have them before the law changed, would not be able to get them.
