I've been working on my 89 since November. Piece by piece (tires, belts, brakes, drums etc..) i got it all sorted out saturday! it was ready to roll. I went outside, put the key in, turned it, and nothin'. Got the battery charger out, charged it for a couple of hours, went outside, started it, and drove it around! got back to my house, turned the blinker on, and the entire electrical system just screwed up...parked it, killed it, and tried to crank it again..needs a new alternator..damn damn damn. i want a break..

haha, yea that's rough. Keep going man you can do it! I'd try a junk yard too if the $ is keeping you from buying a new alternator.Last edited by zoom zoom; 03-31-2013, 07:52 AM.2008 Kia Rio- new beater
