  • Festiva where art thou?

Drove from Calgary to Vancouver on Thursday and didn't spot one Festiva. Did see quite a number of Metros though. Staying downtown and went over to North Vancouver this morning and still no Festivas spotted. Where are they all hiding? Are Leapin and Sasquatch hoarding them somewhere?

They are getting rarer! I think I have seen four in Kamloops the last couple weeks.
Aspires and Sways all around, Miata B6 installed, KYB G2Rs just installed in front. Wish for coil overs someday.

I went to a barn in Milton today and checked to see if mine was still under the cover.
Yup, still there. Removed the Viper controller to complete the wiring. Looking forward to completing the OEM cruise install.

I know I will get a lot of stares when I put my Festiva on the road again this summer. I have only seen one in over three years in Toronto.

Clear blue skies and sunshine all day.

We'll be staying in Kamloops again tonight. I'll have to pay closer attention!

Well, they sure aren't here in Oklahoma. Just ask Larry Hampton.

In my town of ~ 40,000 there are a grand total of 3 that I know of for sure. I see one of the other 2 about every 2 or 3 months. :pale:

The 89' I purchased last month had rust bad around where the axle mount meets the frame. Everyone I talked too said to trash it, BUT I knew an independent welder from a few years back and found him the other day and he's saving the Festiva!
I think what happens to alot of Festivas is they become a vicim of the dredded rust on the frames and nobody wants to fix it.
              Here is the rust damage!
