Update on the look of my Festiva...

Here are some updated pictures of my 89' Festiva LX.
I replaced the hood and drivers door. I still need to do some body work on the right rear wheel well. I removed all those stickers.
There is a before and after on each photo.

Does your key work in the door, or did you have to swap over lock tumbers?

I had to swap the lock tumbers. I also, of course swaped the mirrors since mine is powered.

I just parked the car in the sun and they peeled right off! banana time

My next step is to do body work on some rust, paint it all black, and put some white stripes on it. Nothing too outlandish.

Looks so much better without the stickers on it. and I don't know why but I love these cars in black. Cant wait to see the finished project ^_^

Here are a few other pics of my Festiva from when I purchased it to a 1st stage pic and a 2nd stage pic. In the 2nd stage I went back to the stock wheels. I grounded off the paint and rust on the rims and re-painted them.
On the car I removed all the rust. Cut and sized in old license plates (3) and riveted them in, then used bondo to fill in the low spots and ruff spots. did alot of sanding then primed the treated areas. The right rear wheel well is where I used the license plates and bondo. Other areas I just used bondo.
The 3rd stage will be the paint job and the 4th stage will be the pin striping.
