Mine doesn't have a tach.
One afternoon leaving work I got on the interstate, radio was cranked,
about 2 miles down the road I realized that it was still in 3rd and I was doing 65. Is that readline?~Jeff

Before I took the B3 out of the little blue to rebuild it (only firing on three cylinders due to a slightly blown up exhaust valve and therefore no compression in cyl #4) my 1/4 mile was waaay quicker than my 0-60... lolNo festiva for me ATM...

well, what brought this up was a 0-60 time i saw on a new honda fit sport (incidentally one of the ugliest hatchbacks i have ever seen): 11.9 seconds. and that's the sport model. well i thought i had seen a 0-60 time on a festiva that said between 11 and 12 seconds. i also thought if your supposed "sport" model won't beat a stock festiva... well that's pretty sad. anyway that's why i was wondering.89 L, hopefully returning from the dead soon with a little more power...

weight of car in kilogrammes
--------------------------- = 0-60 time
maximum bhp of car * 0.9
"OK, it's not a precise science, but it does work (most of the time),
"So for example, take the current Toyota MR2 which weighs in at 975Kg and has a maximum power of 138bhp. Using our formula we calculate the car's 0-60 time to be 7.9 seconds, and the quoted figure is 8.0".
now all i need is to find my calculator and im set...
i also saw another website that had listings from old car and driver magazines. though they listed the yr of the festiva as an 87 L model (a typo im assuming) the 0-60 time was 10.2 ."We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals." -Mohandas Gandhi
