    Need Help in PA!

    Hello Everyone, im looking for some help.

    I need to get my car thru inspection on Wednesday, May 22nd. I work in Telford PA, and Live in Norristown PA.

    My two front tires have camber wear and will not pass inspection. Im wondering if someone will trade with me for a day. Or lend me a set of Stock Festiva Rims/Tires for the day or for a fee. I would also buy a set of rims and tires if they were cheap enough.

    If anyone can help me out ill drive to you.

    Don't be so cheap. Quality tires are your first line of defence for driving comfort and safety. Baldies don't stop worth a hoot on wet or muddy surfaces, go flat at every opportunity, and there's nothing like a front wheel 'blow out' at highway speeds to rudely awaken your senses.
    I have 1/2 dozen good tires and rims (12 inch) here all set to go to the scrap yard but your own tires would be worn out by the time you got here to pick them up.

          Aaronbrook: Thanks, but thats not the right size i need. The tires i use are very rare. 195/45R14 Ive only found 1 company that sells them. And they are 125$ a piece before shipping.

          Bert: The reason i own a festiva is because im cheap. I have a wife/son to support and i live on a very tight budget.
          The tire tread is fine in the middle and outside edge. But the inside is showing the cords.

            I'd loan you tires if I was closer. What is causing the camber wear? Can it be fixed?

              two: i have a set of 12's you can use if you can get here.

                great minds thinking alike. i factor in parts compatability when purchasing my next work beater. i've played musical tires between my tracer and escort yearly. windsheild wipers too. i got plenty of festy tires on rims but i'm over 4 hrs from you.

                  Thanks. Festyboy. My inspection is actually next wednesday. I guess ill pm you closer to that. Otherwise o have 2 steelie rims i can put new tires on. It just costs me 60 a tire. And after it goes thru inspection im putting my back tires on the front. And the bad front tires back on the back.

                    If you're showing cords on your current front tires, at most I would consider those to be emergency spares. There is such a thing as being too cheap. But I understand cash-flow issues too.

                    I bet if you could get to Festyboy he could fix that wear issue real quick.

                      get on craigslist or call around. there are places that sell good used tires, i just got a used 195/50/15 for 25 and then mounted and balanced alltogether it was 45

                        I have looked on craigslist. Also spent the whole day on thebinterwebs looking for the exact size i need. Basically its not made anymore. Even toyo the company i have the tires from doesnt make it anymore. Nobody needs performance 14in tires

                            Its just a strange perdiciment. I only paid 600$ for my festiva. I put a couple hundred into it. The thought of having to pay 600-700 to get it thru inspection blows my mind. The wifes been harping on me lately to get something bigger for my 6 month old son to ride in. Also it would be nice to have ac. So IF i can get it thru inspection for the cheap. Ill keep it. If not. Its for sale. I miss having a nice daily driver that doesnt loose a qt of oil every 10 days.

                            Yes im ranting, i should be doing everything i can to keep my reliable 40mpg daily driver on the road. But after driving festivas for 5 years i dunno if i wanna dump the price of a whole nother car into my car just to get it by for another year.
