1989 Mercury Tracer automatic

I'm thinking about looking at this vehicle.But before I go just wondering if anyone knows if its gona be efi or Carb? Add says its a 1.6 ATX but thats all. Also am I correct to assume it shares axles with a 323 of the same year?
Also will a 1988 323 non turbo auto be efi or Carb? Thx

Rock auto only list EFI parts for the 89 Tracer. Nothing for a carby.
On the 88 323 its the same but for some reason, even though there is no listing for a Carb, they have a listing for a carb choke thermostat.

that's exactly the car I got my engine from! Do it, they look really nice! And if you ever wreck it's a bolt in swap candidate!

It *IS* a 323. Identical car. They just never sold the BF 323 here as a 5 door.

Doesnt the 323 LOOK like its wheel base is longer than the festy? I cant find any info on the Festy wheel base. But the 323 is 94". Every time I see a 323 I think it LOOKS larger than my Festy's.......
Talked to the owner this am,probally gonna look at it SUN. Its got a blown head gasket,105K little rust for$300. Cant imagine what a "Little Rust" means here in WI

Haha..do it, if its got all the parts, by the time you take what you need you'll be able to scrap the chassis for 200. Cheap easy swap! ...that's assuming you don't part out some other things on Cp.com or whatever.
