Yes, and believe it or not, there were only those three small holes in the entire pipe at the weld seams. Could have been fixed and lasted a
while longer, but I decided to go ahead and put a new one on. The old muffler is still good too. It was not the original though and had been welded on to the old midpipe. Be happy to give them to anyone who wanted them (I'll hang on to them a week or so.).

I knew the left front wheel bearing was bad so this morning I pulled the knuckle off and discovered that the car needs new LCA's and outer tie rod ends also (rack and inner tie rods ends are new). The left inner cv boot was open too. It's not making any noise yet, but I'm going to replace it too.
The struts had been replace recently and I thought he may have replaced the other front suspension parts at the same time. Right CV is OK and the brakes are in good shape. Took everything off this morning in about 40 minutes. Bought one of the 1/2" 18v battery powered impact wrenches from harbor freight last week and boy does it make the job easier. Why did I wait so long to get one of these?

I still like to see if I can snap studs and bolts with my monster 3/4" breaker bar.
I want to see if I can pull the whole car off the jack and not merely rock it back and forth a little. I will start looking for a 1" breaker bar on the bay.

Those are big.. and $250 for the pair..hope they're guaranteed forever. Hopefully I will never need something like that for a Festiva.
I remember back on our farm when I was a teen using a big breaker bar to get the lugs off the tractor wheels. Not sure of the size, but It was big.
