like jerry said it is inevitable and its way way cheaper than dumping money into other types of cars. for the most part its cheaper because all the upgrades for our cars are stock parts from other cars lol and then after that a lot has to be custom. both my cars are pretty modded and I I have a 3rd waiting for a motor and im picking up another soon (saving her from the scrap yard) and I just did the math and have less than 4gs tied up in all 4 and some people pay that just for a set of wheels. you can read the list of some of the mods in my sig. heck, some of these nutz on here have 7 to 10 of them like festevil3 (kevin) hes got one for every different out fit he owns .

if your going for gas mileage that's cool too. there are a couple of pureists here. if that is your plan then I would get ahold of matt dickmeyer because he just developed a mpg cam and saw dramatic increases on a carby and I am really interested to see what it can do on an fi.
-90 festiva - bp swap "relentless" (thanks matt) aspire swap, pacesetter, underdrive pulley
-90 festiva - surf blue (undetermined destiny) wanna keep but wifey says noooooooo

Welcome - as far as your front bumper - I watched a video somewhere that they used a propane torch to bring back a faded black bumper. They scrubbed it clean then lightly skimmed over it until it melted just a little, it looked good when they were done, I was surprised how even the finish ended up being.

The grandson and I saw the same vid, I would stay away from this trick, we washed and cleaned the victim I mean bumper, did the map gas trick and hey it looks great but slowly--about two months-- it looked pretty bad, white streaks all through it. So bottom line, go to a big box store and buy some Bondo back to Black it looks good and lasts quite a while. well that's my 2 cents Good luck
