The listing says it's for Taurus and Fusion. I'd say the bars on those cars are larger than our cars.

For an extra $10 you can get the Energy Suspension sway bar bushings. That's what I installed on my 93 and I've been very pleased with them. You have to make a small plate to run behind them but it's pretty easy to fabricate. I can take some pics of mine if interested.

The smallest taurus (85-07) bars are 19mm , up to 25.

And depending on the options (on SHOs at least) theres a diff sway bar combo , no one has figured out how they have done all this mismatch , we have checked and it changes if its MTX or ATX , but it also changes if its an ATX/ATX- same year and all. I think some people played rock-papers-scissors at the factory.

^^ Will do! I'm heading up to the shop now to tweak my alignment and find some tighter shifter bushings so I'll snap some pics while I have her up in the air

zoom zoom was making the brackets for the Energy Suspension bushings & selling them. I'd pm him & see if he still is. They are high quality steel.

Here you go Jerry. Basically you're just looking for a backing plate to bridge the stamped arch and give the ES bushing a flat surface to mount against. Drill 2 holes for the factory studs and you're in business. I used a cheap 400 series stainless for these because it just happened to be the correct width, so all I had to do was cut it to length and drill the holes.

Sorry the pics are a little blurry.

Thank you Sir! I was wondering about the plates Mark (M3ntal) was talking about. I'm guessing these are similiar?
                    Thank you again!

No problem Jerry, glad to help. I haven't seen Mark's but I'm guessing it's pretty much the same or at least the same theory behind the "fix". This was just a quick one off fix I did to replace my worn out factory bushings since the whole car is almost swapped over to urethane now. I'll have to look and see what he did

Yes they are the same, but his are aluminum. They are the same as the steel ones I got from zoom zoom.

That's not grease it's silicon that has oozed out and dirt built up around it. I had some ES assembly silicon left over from doing all the bushings on my Mustang and it's not a bad idea to apply some where metal contacts the urethane and pivots or moves.

When i did my energy bushing i modified the bushing to fit the stock bracket... using the bracket that comes with the energy bushing is bad news:nono: Our festiva suspension uses the sway bar as a lateral link and that keeps the wheels in the right place, the slot in the energy bushing bracket allows movement in the bracket which can be very dangerous while your driving. you will have a constant changing of the geometry.
