What does an engine weigh?

Ok, I weighed the stock engine in my '88 Festive when I had it out to replace the clutch and transmission.
240lbs with the Carb/intake,alternator, flywheel, clutch and pressure plate.
Does that sound right? Not sure how accurate my scale was.

But what I really want to know is, how much do the following engines weigh? Just looking ahead for an engine swap.
- B6
- B6T
- BP
- BPT
- KLZE :shock:

your weight sounds about right... put it this way i was able to pick up the stock festiva trans with 2 fingers and carry it up a flight of stairs... so that might put the size of a festy engine into perspective :roll:

My b6 sohc was 250 with both manifolds, 323 flywheel, and clutch on. I weighed it on the scale at work, which is accurate to .1 lbs.

The b6d I picked up today didn't feel any heavier, but I didn't weigh it.

The 4 speed trany weighed in at 45 lbs.

i loaded 2 B3 long blocks and one complete engine into the back of my parts car by myself. one person shouldnt have too much trouble, its all about leverage. altho the car is harder to push around now with the shocks bottomed out on the tires now.

KLZE - 310 lbs

weighed with oil, intake and exhaust manifolds,
But No water,no flywheel, no Auxiliary parts i.e.
A/c pump, P/s pump, tensioner brackets

So, anybody know what the B6T, BP or BPT weigh?
