    wouldn't surprise me, they said what, 96% of cars have them? As long as Its data is true and always readable, id be for it. Might save you from being blamed in an accident that wasn't your fault in the first place.

        No doubt that this technology is mostly benign and might prompt drivers, that are aware of the on board data recorder, to drive more carefully but the other side of the coin does not interest me. What if it is, or can be faulty? Now you don't have to allege that you weren't driving 100 mph and without a seatbelt; you have to prove the black box that said so is unreliable. Good luck with that!
