  • Hot, Hot, Hot

The temperature here today topped 100 degrees, heat index 112 ! Yesterday we had the highest heat index in the country. Guess the average temp for the first six months of this year have been the highest since data has been kept. Global warming ???

To top it all off, locally, we have only had 1/3 of our normal rain fall this year. Local news is saying we are currently under an " extreme temperature warning", and a" ground ozone red alert", suggesting people stay indoors. I live out in the country and the farmers will be hurting from a bad summer until the next good year.

It was HOT!, i had to unload 2 full pallets of 100lb boxes of radir wheels today, process, and carry 100ft away to the warehouse, and stock in there spots, It took me a whole huge can of jolt cola, and i thought i was going to jhave a heart attack!

cant rule global warming out. this past winter was the warmest of past years i remember. we on ly had 2 or 3 nights below freezing. this summer sucks. it hasnt rained in months here and on the one day it will rain its only for about a half hour so it all washes away. most of the roads are dirt around here, dirt = dust without rain. i feel like im abusing my festiva by not washing so often it but its just going to get dirty as hell the next time i pull out the drive and stir up more dust. if someone drives by you on a dirt road you have to wait a minute on the side of the road to see again...and breathe. it expecially sucks not having AC and relying on the open windows....makes me like going to work now as it seems to be the coolest part of my life right now!

                    Hot?

We're frying here too in Anchorage this week -- highs of 67-70, overnight lows in the mid 50s, with sunset after 11pm. I haven't used my headlights for months. Gas is about $2.79 -- we grow the stuff here.

67-70 degrees sounds great, actual temp expected to reach 104 here today with a heat index between 112-115. I wish I had a float plane, Id fly to a lake and jump in.
