  • Road trip to Florida August 10th & 11th (not in my Festiva) any mini meets possible?

My daughter got a internship with ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort as an athletic trainer for this next semester, so we're driving down next weekend. Leaving OKC about mid morning, 9ish, and planning on driving straight thru. Might hook up with Rhodestiva in Destin. I've got a hotel room near 192 & I-4 (I think) for Sunday night, she moves into her dorm/apartment Sunday afternoon. My flight out is like 6:30 am.

I'll be flying back down at the end of the semester to help drive her back and I'd like to find someone's place that I could change the oil and filter at and do an overall inspection of the car prior to the drive back to Oklahoma. I guess I could do it in a parking lot with a curb...

I'm trying to figure out when we'll leave Oklahoma, thinking about maybe hitting a beach in the morning, so we may leave later, but Destin to ESPN WWOS is still 6.25 hours away, so if we do the beach thing, it'd be like 8am-9am, lol!!! Maybe just get there early and go see a movie before she has to check in.

Now Rhode, I may see about taking you up on that room on the way back during December, we'll just have to see if the planets align. I just did the drive both way during spring break and it's a long azz drive straight thru....

I'm planning on throwing the cup holder in the trunk with me. I was figuring on bringing the spindles and maybe someone who was going to Madness could take them with them to give to whomever redoes them. If no one does, I may keep them and redo them myself. My Festy needs a rebuilt rack, I've got two spares and I think I'm going to rebuild them, but I'd like to get some of those Delrin bushings from whomever was making them. I'm also planning on pulling the PS off my blue car and put it in the wife's black car.
