'89 Festiva auto & "88 Festiva manual

I was wondering '89 Auto transaxle have 3 speed and between '88 5 speed manual...

Does 4 or 5 Speed manual shift usually go faster than 3 speed auto? :roll:

Or maybe they are almost same fast enough?

it all depends if you are good at shifting the manual trans

manuals are always faster than the automatic Festivas

Unless your running some serious turbo and stuff where it might be easier to keep the car on the ground with an automatic, a manual is much quicker, trust me, my damn aspire is an automatic! :roll:

my festy is an auto and the tranny slips everytime i 3/4 floor it..

Oh I see... Thanks for advising, then I will change to 5 Speed manual and take out auto soon.

Auto is slower because it have 3 speed and have no fourth speed?

and automatics take horsepower away dramatically and also puts a drag on the engine while coasting

automatic is good for 4wd v8's and thats about it.
