  • Defogging a headlight

I recently put a junkyard headlight in the Vibe. Thing is, when the dude backed into my car the bulb socket was destroyed so the assembly went in without the bulb, and I had to drive through a pretty bad storm with nothing filling that hole. Now that I've got the socket in there there's a fair bit of moisture in there and I'm not sure how to get it out (and making things a bit more difficult is the fact that it's already installed and I'd rather not pull it again). I was thinking about silica gel packets, but there's the issue of getting them out once they do their thing. And where to get them individually. I could pull the bulb and let the car sit in the sun, but I'm not sure that would remove all the moisture.
Anyone else have this problem? any ideas?
