  • Festiva Panel Van

I was contemplating finding another cheap/rugged festiva and making it into a panel van by filling in the rear quarter windows. Could be cool if done right, anybody have any input?

Or you could just use really dark tint on the quarter windows only. My concern is potential hassle you could get from cops for altering the car from its original design, such that you can't see out. But if you just tinted the quarter windows for the panel-van effect, maybe they would let you slide. You could also point out that you can still see out, so it isn't a safety issue. Worst case is that you would need to restore it to original--much easier if you still have the windows in.

Seems like I recall someone on here stating that they wished that they hadn't made a panel out of their Festiva. I just can't recall who said it.

It would look even better if the window detent was gone. I mean fill it in "Flush" with the body then I would hit the "like" button.

Seems like you could get the windows covered in vinyl, with the same color as the body, that way it's easily reversible if you change your mind.

Oversize rear view mirrors can take care of that.
