  • Gray Thursday/Black Friday

I went at about 6 to wal mart just see what was going immediately turned around and left with the ridiculous amount of people. So I went back to my brothers and sat around and talked with them, at about midnight we ran down to a town south of me of about 40,000 to go to sears. Got there and pretty much got our own salesman to help us with items the crowd was so small, I got a cordless impact for $115 with a 3 year warranty. Then we went to wal mart which was actually less crowded than normal shopping there and for the most part the employees where cheerful and happy to help you find items (probably kept them from having to do restock) I mainly wanted blu rays which where pretty much gone, only ones left was a cart of ones they found lying around the store so I got most of the Harry Potter movies on DVD for mom and got Despicable Me and Grease for my collection. After that we went to game stop so my brother could get some games ended up with a ps3 as well, in a line of 20 people with 2 cash registers open it toke us almost an hour to check out. Then I went back to the wal mart at home (town of about 3000) at 3am and found all the blurays I wanted and a couple of DVDs (which I apparently set down somewhere before checkout), and got a crockpot for mom. The only item they didn't have was the George Foreman grill for mom, everything else I looked at was in stock still in multiple quantities. Overall Black Friday even though it was Thursday this year was pretty easy going, never again am I going in early if they don't have it when the crowds die down then it wasn't that important to me (and probably to mainstream for me).

So anybody else go out last night and today and get anything, maybe some new tools.

And I am passing all my Christmas presents out this week so I don't have to worry about losing them lol, besides most people want to them now to use the.

yea we went to walmart as well after dinner yesterday and it was a nut house!!! I dont know if its because the economy is so bad and everyone is looking for a deal? or is the economy getting better and people have money? Nothing was really worth the wait. I wanted the stanley tool set for 49 but there was no way i was waiting in line for 4 hours just to buy it. I feel bad for the employees!!! they where all upset and hiding in aisles. There was even police /security in the walmart! I wen to the local mall and they where open all night as well! Black friday is becoming more of a holiday then turkey day!

All the stores here had at least one cop except for sears, even gamestop which at its busiest time had maybe 20 people in it.

I worked at my walmart this year as security. The last few years i was electronics and i have to say i enjoy security a lot more. I get to deal with the nut jobs when things run out.

We had 8-10 cops at ours...in a town of around 7000 people.

If I buy anything on sale, it will be bought right here at home.

Only things I have bought so far were games on Steam.
Bioshock Infinite for $10, couldn't pass that up.

I worked it at Wal-Mart. I got out of any human interaction, but they tried to freeze me to death. Standing at the door all night. I was told to stand just outside it. That lasted about 4 hours. Next 8 were in the vestibule. Nobody seemed to care.

                  Oh, and didn't buy anything.
Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

Sadly, I do not believe they have the money. They are fools who will be trying to sell everything they have in the future. They have been deluded by a "gift exchange tradition" of Roman origin, which celebrates the winter solstice and the return of the sun.
