anybody got any product recommendations to help keep rims looking good through the winter?

R.I.P '94 Ford Aspire Manual "New Blue" got with 150,xxx.... ended with about 200,xxx (it's engine is the .40 engine in my GL)

Friend of mine used to use just plain 'ol axle grease. Swabbed it on and left it till spring.
The chrome rims looked like new after a good cleaning after the salt was gone from the roads.
It didn't look real pretty during the winter but the rims looked nice after removal.
I would think any sort of grease or oil would be a good coating. -

Have never used it but I think there was/is this stuff called Naval Jelly....for smearing on chrome and stuff. Probably the same as axle grease but made for it."FLTG4LIFE" @FINALLEVEL , "PBH"

Not recommended for aluminum or chrome. More of a rust remover than preventer.
I have waxed wheels and not removed the wax till spring. Worked pretty well but not as good as the "grease job" mentioned earlier.Comment
