what kind of tint came on the Festiva's? what percent are they and what color are they?

The factory tinted windows appear to be about 3%. I'm getting this due to the 32% legal limit in Georgia. They had to use 35% tint on my car to keep it legal. So that would make the factory tint about 3%.Jerry

I believe that most have the small amount of tint like mine. I'd roll the window down about half way and see if there's a difference from looking thru the window to looking over it. That's how I would check it.Jerry

Supposedly LX had standard tint, everything else required AC. If this list is right, then the standard tint is VERY light, as my LX is barely noticeable.Oldest Festiva on the forum (so far) 3/87 LX - 225k

well before any MORE confusion happens, the LOWER the number, the darker the tint (it goes by how much light is transmitted through the glazing, not by how much is lost). 3% is darker than welders goggles (5%). limo tint can be as dark as 1% (near blacked out). most tinted cars sit at between 20 and 35%. given that, factory tint for our cars should be sitting at the 85% range and in the green color scale.
i'd immagine that the bronze tint would be in place to reduce glare and increase some contrast within that spectrum.Trees aren't kind to me...
