I've never seen a black festiva in person other than repaints. There is a 3 in a row diagonal in that photo. Later years they got all saved by the bell and made my ugly example.

I can see how someone drunk or tired can read my first sentence wrong HA

My mom's first one was factory black carbed. My favorite OEM color Festiva still.

        That shot is great, yes.
Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

No swoosh or hockey stick etc side decals either. I don't recall ever having seen an original paint Festy in my area without some sort of graphics along the sides. No doubt mirrors were installed upon arrival at destination; (Canadian destination cars would have driver and passenger mirrors) you can park vehicles much closer together on the container ship and yet allow attendants (guy that drives in and the guy that drives out) with a decent aisle to walk through.
Thank you for submitting that picture!

Ive seen two black Festivas on Kijiji and a friend took a picture of a black one in a wrecking yard. The wrecking yard one was crushed after 3 months while there were cars there...Sunfires...that looked like they were there for YEARS.

I own a factory black one. Its a 92 GL Sport and doesnt run at the moment.
Got it last summer and tore it apart as it needed a lot of TLC!
Now its winter and I wont work in my driveway when its cold and snowy. Cant wait til spring and I get it up and runnin'.

Can anyone read the signage next to the Canadian flag? Might be a clue.

Could that be a ship the flag is on?

According to my wife (who lived in SK for a while) of the five letters before the Canadian flag the three letters to the left mean "Canada" and she can't make out the other two clearly enough to make sense of them. Maybe someone else can be more helpful.
