Hey Todd,
I almost bought that car for my girlfriend's dad, but you beat me to it hehehe. The labor to put that pump in should NOT be $136. I put one in in the Walmart parking lot in Greenville, Alabama when I broke down there this last weekend on my way to San Antonio. It only took my a half hour to do. I hate to say it, but the shop that's doing the work for you is trying to rip you off. I don't know if you let them in on the fact that you are so far away, but they may be playing off of that. thanks. yeah i called a guy that use to have several festiva's for a recommendation of a shop. his family owns a car lot he has alot of connections. so i didnt think he would steer me to a rip off joint. anyway i hope it will work out ok. im planning on getting the tranny from mizery. this has been more costly than i thought it would be :roll:

I'm sorry it's worked out this way for you. I would have offered a helping hand if you were closer. htchbck (Joseph) helped me out when I needed an extra hand on my Festivas, and I think he might come back down when I install the engine in my girlfriends car (Festiva Motorsport Special on EBAY ). I refuse to let a shop touch my car. I guess you could call me anal, but no one else is going to pay attention to detail like I will, and will take caution when doing the repair work like I would. Well, if you have any questions feel free to ask.

the tranny hasnt been sent to me yet, hopefully monday is the last i was told. :roll: :? :x wonder how long it takes by ups from ky to omaha, i wouldnt think that long. i hate another whole week will be shot waiting.

nope! i did get up to omaha, and stopped by and at least got to start it. it sounds pretty good. tranny is finally in route, so should be thursday when they get it. but still may not be till next week till it is done. :?

Yikes I don't think I could do it! My Festivas have become almost an addiction for me. Even in as bad of shape as the two I have are there hard to live without. The gas prices might be the major reason I don't want to give up on them

I am pretty sure I am a Festiva-holic , we take my car all the time now ,I get real upset when we don't .
I think I have forgotten about my S-10 truck , last time It was out was when I went to the 600+ downtown carshow .over a month ago ??
I wanted to take the Festiva on vacation , but she wins on this one ,she wants the A/C :lol: :lol: so it's the Caddy
Thats Ok the Festiva will be in the paint shop while I am gone
