  • Ice on inside of windows

Ever since I have had my '93 Festival ice forms on the inside of my windows. It is bad enough that I keep an old CD in the car to scrape the windows in order to see. Does anyone else have this problem? I live in Montana and it gets cold i.e. -30F at times.

There are many threads concerning poor heat in twenty year old Festivas. Use the search engine to find them and read all the solutions. Let's hope the fins of your heater core aren't plugged up with twenty years of dirt (dash removal is the only way of getting at it). Please add your location in Montana to your profile and good luck.

My car does the same thing. Probably a large hole in the floor keeping the carpet wet. It keeps humidity high then freezes. I'm driving my truck til weather breaks.

I plugged the holes in my floor and any leaks I had ...... No more frost or ice inside my windows.

Run a dehumidifier in it for one night.

I figured it out, the switch for the type of air (fresh or recirculated) has to be set to fresh air aka dry air. Took the old girl out today and she didn't even ice up at all when the fresh air was selected.
P.S. the engine is completely rebuilt and has 200 miles and is running strong with good heat.
