If I didn't already have ultra-slick dollar store mouse pad gaskets, I'd probably pitch in for some of those, sketchman!

I just have my own template and cut them out of a foam craft sheet. Karl gave me one and I can get a set out of one sheet.1993 Ford Festiva L blue 170,000 miles

Was wondering if a foamed HDPE is available for this.
You going to die cut them from a sheet?
"Polyethylene HDPE - High Density" is likely natural, ie no pigment.
Might want a black color for UV stabilization.
Duro of 65 Shore A seems pretty soft for a solid material most HDPE is closer to a 90 Shore A, could the 65 be a shore D value?
Think you want something more pliable, like a foamed material, so it will comply with body and part contours.'93 Blue 5spd 230K(down for clutch and overall maintanence)

^Appreciate the input, Pu.
I'll get a screenshot of the full specs and post it up. I am admittedly in over my head here. I can design, but materials is not my thing.Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

Was the HDPE going to come in sheets?'93 Blue 5spd 230K(down for clutch and overall maintanence)

Might be easy as asking them what foamed materials are available. would then a foamed HDPE, MDPE, LDPE, or TPU could work. want Black using at least 3% carbon black, closed cell foam with medium bulk density so it can compress.
Wonder if you have a relatively good piece of the original you could send them to match?'93 Blue 5spd 230K(down for clutch and overall maintanence)

Mine are toast. Cracking and falling apart. I could barely keep it together when I pulled it off the light.
But I'll ask them and see what's available and how they'll do them.
Oh, what about thickness? Would 1/8" be enough?
EDIT: I emailed them just now. I'll post back here when I get a response.Last edited by sketchman; 10-21-2014, 06:46 PM.Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

Haven't measured them, but think 1/8" would be too thin.
Thinking 4mm or maybe 3/16" will try to remember to take measurements tomorrow.'93 Blue 5spd 230K(down for clutch and overall maintanence)

I've submitted a request for a quote for EVA foam in 1/4" thickness. It's black and compressible and for sealing stuff.
I'll post back again when I get a response.Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

Good news. Best price so far is $10 per set plus shipping. That's a definite quote for 1/4" thick gaskets with adhesive on one side for extra coolness and shipped from within the US all around.
So that's the worst case scenario right now, and it sounds pretty good to me. I'm still waiting to hear from one other guy to see if that's the best we can do, but I'll keep updating till it's decided for certain.Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

Let me know when the first sets are available and I can test the carbon content.
Or see if they know what the Carbon content is already, want no less than 3%, more is better, up to about 5-6%.'93 Blue 5spd 230K(down for clutch and overall maintanence)
