146,389 on the festiva cluster and that will be the end of that... I broke an axle pretty badly and it's not worth putting another one back in it.

I replaced the valve stem seals and the front/rear main on that engine, I didn't even notice any smoke on cold start ups. Definitely gonna add valve stem seals to the list of tune up parts, it's really nice when the engine doesn't smoke

                          1988 (Manufactured 11/87) LX

                          unnamed.jpg

Got for free with 392,545 miles almost two years ago. The deal was: if you can get it to drive off the parking lot, the title is yours. A trip to the parts store and $50 later, Stevie was driving.

415,785 miles currently. Goes up daily.

                          Original engine replaced at 403,500 with a B3 from a 1997 aspire.
Old engine would have made it another 200,000 miles as long as you put in a quart of 20w-50 every 30-50 miles... It didn't even have a noticeable loss of power. Never tested compression.

Had an electrical fire at about 413,000. Burned for about 15 minutes before the fire dept put it out.
Few new wires, hoses, Weber 32/36, and master cylinder, and I was good to go again.. EXTREMELY surprised that the heat didn't warp the head. You CANNOT stop these things. Simply one of the best built cars ever made.
