  • mazda 323 question

Is the mazda 323i the same as a mazda 323 gt. I mean the engine, tranny, etc/..... minus the turbo. i found a lost titled 323 for for free and it runs, the lady cant find the title so it might be a problem to get rid of, but if the motors are the same I could use it as parts for the turbo charged b6t I got. if not I will say forget about it.

    I don't think the 323 ever got a non-turbo version of the B6T. I think it's going to either be a 16v or 8v sohc.

its called a 323i thats what it says on the hatch. it doesnt have a turbo, just curious if the motors are the same, but its possible it is sohc rather than the dohc. I didnt have too much time to check beacuse it was raining.

The year is 1987 I believe, it was manufactured in late 1986 so I am pretty sure this makes it a 1987. it is fuel injected not carbed, if they even made a carbed version. looks in decent shape, interior is clean too but i just want the motor, tranny, etc...

Hey if it's free, why not. You can make some money parting it out if you've got the time. I'm sure at least some of the parts would help people out on the board.

Well its free but if the motors are not the same i have no need, unless people on here request parts maybe i'll pick it up.

Sounds like a good candidate for a B6 swap if that's what your after. I say get it while you can

I second that thought. Like I said I'm sure that there are parts that people on this forum can use. You could also throw some on ebay that people on this forum can't use.
