  • Radiator Fan/Cooling Fan noise reduction

Hi! Is it possible to lessen the sound of my kia pride's radiator fan? Or is there any replacement fan that is more quiet compared to my kia pride's cooling fan?
I am just comparing my car to other old car models and I just noticed that their radiator fans are really quiet....

See if you can add a variable speed motor. It will be be much quieter at low temps.
    Now that would be cool!

Maybe you only need to do a rewire job, like I did on my electric fuel pump?
Will our fan motors run in reverse? Probably not.

    Jegs.

Who knows what other car models have variable speed radiator fans?
I bet the new Kia cars probably have them. I have to check.

the 1993 camry v6 I drove for 5 yerars had a fan that turned at "walking speed" when you first started the engine, then would pop on when it was very hot. i dont ever it making a lot of noise.

While tinkering with this new project, to resell I discovered that it has a interesting feature. The fan motor for the Radiator is HYDROLIC. Not power or cen...

id say deal with the noise. you only need one fan, maybe change a shroud or something to muffle it better

That's true. Festiva's have no underhood padding. I got pne from another junkyard car with a baby hood. It still remains to be trimmed and fitted with grommets. I have to drill a few extra holes. After it unthaws, of course.
