OK here's my dilemma.... My daily driver is a rusted out 91 5 speed with an Aspire brake swap. My other car is a 91 GL automatic all stock. I also have the B6T I drove out to PA to buy. I have been searching high and low for a rust free or close to it Festiva in my area with a 5 speed to start the turbo swap. So far NO luck at all. So now what?? Do I put the B6T into a car with an automatic? Do I sell the B6T and buy a cheaper BP to put into the auto car? Do I sell the automatic car and hope to find a 5 speed car soon? Anyways I know this matters to no one but me but its nice to get other opinions on it

That is a tough decision for someone that has not done the swap yet (ME)------------------------------------------------

Yeah its really hard choice. My daily driver 91 is so rusted and beat that I don't think it would survive another winter so I want to try to fugue out something here soon and have a car to drive while I get whatever project I decide on done. Being broke most of the time doesn't help a thing either LoLPaul

Ive been meaning to ask you for some time now how you like the BP and ATX combo. Is it that much faster than the stock B3? Hows the acceleration with the ATX? I'm sure it wont burn the tires on a take off but that's not really a bad thing eitherPaul

soooo much better than the B3 it isn't funny.. No, it doesn't burn the tires, but that's only because I don't have Yvan's beefed atx..
as far as get up and go is concerned, you'll definitely be smiling.
The best part is the look on someone's face when they hear the intake open up.. believe me, it doesn't sound like a Festiva..

Paul, I'm quite happy with my B6/ATX, and I only have 82 hp. It's not the "best of all worlds," but it's a nice compromise.
Karl'93GL "Prettystiva" ticking B3 and 5 speed, backup DD; full swaps in spring!
'91L "AquaMutt" my '91L; B6 swap/5 speed & Aspire brakes, DD/work car
'92L "Twinstiva" 5sp, salvage titled, waiting for repairs...
'93GL "Luxstiva," '94 B6 engine & ATX; needs overhauled
'89L "Muttstiva," now a storage bin, future trailer project

Ok anyone wanna donate a tranny and some parts to my "Save The B6T Fund" Ive thought about converting it too if I could find a junk 5 speed parts car. I might have found one locally but haven't talked to the owners yet. That's going to be my first stop after work on payday 8)Paul
