I think they compare good to each other look at the tail lights really if the festiva's top was lowered/chopped. I would like to have a classic mini think bmw has ruined the mini but the classics will always be collectable
I still want an original Mini. Just because. Like I want a RWB Porche. Or a Ginetta G4.
I know it doesn't make sense really, but I still want them. I'll keep the Festiva though.
yeah they are cool but since i dont have 8-10k ill just keep the bp festy. i did see some @ the atlanta speedway last year that were honda powered & wow!!! i love the old cvcc hondas w/ 1500 cc & 5 speed also. & one of my old time faves 2 door 510 datsuns drool but they are getting expensive also.
Funny to see this thread... I used to own a classic Mini which was great fun. Parts are too expensive and (my car at least) was such a mix of parts that it was hard to trouble shoot when things did go wrong. Epically fun to drive however and a great bunch of owners. As the saying goes "it is way more fun to drive a slow car fast than to drive a fast car slow." That was the mantra of the classic Mini crowd. That connection to drive a simple, light weight car is what has me looking for a Festiva to play around with.
I loved the driving scene in the first (I think) Bourne movie where he's driving the mini in escape-and-evasion mode. I consider them to be primitive prototypes of the Festy.
