  • should I bother doing inner tie rods at 120000.

I don't feel like there's any play in them but I'll be in there so I could. I don't have that weird tool set pull them off. Is there a cheater way? Thanks

I ended up pulling the rack to change them. There are little pins that need to be drilled out before you can unthread them. I would advise using cobalt bits because the pin is hardened and will dull bits before you get even close to being through it.

Pulling the rack was the easiest for me, didnt have to drill pins but it was an aspire rack.

Possibly yours had been changed before. The pins are hardened steel and go down into the inner tie rod. If the pins were in and you managed to spin them off then you got some guns.

Biggest issue i thought was access. Seemed easier to yank it out and swap em, we also tore it down, cleaned the rack and reassembled with new grease and bellows
