  • Painting engine.

    I got a mint red festiva that I am repainting bright red. What color should I paint the engine! I was thinking same color red but I want opinions!

      Paint the cast iron block black.
      Buff all aluminum parts to mirror finish then clearcoat (valve, cylinder head, transmission, etc.)
      Chrome steel brackets.
      Chrome oil pan.
      Add engine compartment lights all around (minimum four)
      Engine compartment must light up like a Christmas tree when the hood is opened at night.
      Show stopper.

      Amother alternative, bright primary colors (red, green, blue)

        A white engine would be bad but needs to be totally leakless and not daily driven.

          Loving the ideas! Brazekozak I was going to do some of what your saying with Chrome and clear powder coat! An that white engine would be sick!!

            You used to be able to buy spark plug wires that would light up when the spark ran tbru them....
