  • Has anyone used a Mercury Capri intake manifold on a BP?

Seems like its the same configuration as the B3. Or would it not fit without firewall or hood mods?

I realize it covers the pretty valve cover....

You talking about the B6t manifold? The intake port pitch is different... you'd have to make an adapter, and that wouldn't be real easy.

Your best bet for a top-TB intake manifold on a BP would be a custom cast from Rocketman because the port spacing between the B6/BP is way off.*

1.6 manifolds do not fit the 1.8s, the 1.8 is an entire inch longer and so are the manifolds.

Like Aaron says I have some designs in the works. My stub manifolds should be available soon, you can weld runners/plenum to it if you like

Once these are done I'll be working on a design similar to this, not sure how far in the future that will be though

I knew the 1.8 was longer (read it) but I didn't know if the intake ports were wider or not.

I'm still learning. I figured it wouldn't work or someone would have done it, but I wasn't sure if it was an "A-HA!!!" moment or not.
