  • Wheel locked up at 70

Put in new bearings on my pass side front and wheel locked up. Did everything normal, packed bearings, didnt have anything that bothered me putting it together. Any ideas what i did wrong?

Forget the spacer ring that goes between the bearings?

I run mine down with the impact gun anyway...that's what the spacer is for. Lol

Yeah, I've put 150 on them. They didn't seem to mind at all.

Forget the seal and all the grease shot out?

New seals. It was literally less then a mile away. I guess after reading there are different size spacers to adjust preload?

Where the hell would you find those? Much less in a kit to do it by the book

Uhh, if you rebuilt them you just use the spacers that are with them. Unless they got damaged somehow.

If you do new ones you have a huge headache or a big bill to get them done "properly".

I feel like a veteran needs to do a write up with plenty of pictures because there is little info out there and what is has crappy drawings

Falken I would venture to say that your spacer is stuck to the old bearing with a little grease. Time to do a little dumpster diving. You really want to find that spacer, hopefully you didnt put the trash cans at the curb yet.

I was wondering if you "mixed up" the spacers. They are specific to each hub, and CANNOT be switched.

It does sound like there is no spacer in the hub, for it to lock up in 1 block!
