shaker hood ?

hello, i was wondering if ther was anyway to build a functional shaker hood for a FI festiva, the car will most likely get a BOSS 429 style shaker or possibly a N96 style such as the ones used on 'Cudas or challengers. i have seen PT cruisers with scaled down N96 shakers. any ever see a festiva with a shaker hood scoop before?

This is not a shaker , more like a SS Camaro , but it is the closest I have seen to what you are talking about.
I know what a shaker is , but I have never seen one on a Festiva

yeah i dont think its really possible with the FI set up, it would be really cool though if i can get it to work. me and a freind are thinking about creating a BOSS 1.3 festiva, it will have the basic physical features of a BOSS 429 mustang but it will be a festiva. also the idea of a Hemi 'Tiva has been tossed around that would be based on a Hemi 'Cuda. of course this project will be on a very low budget so the car will probably turn out to be kind of retarded looking but it might be cool. any other sugestions for a festy muscle car clone?

Well I guess he sold it ,here is what he wrote , and where he is , his last post was in April.


I have a 93 GL that has the original motor with 125K. I will be selling it at the end of April (Right now I'm deployed in the Middle East and wont be back until then). I have someone that wants to buy it, but I havent heard back from him yet. I had pics posted on the Gallery long ago prior to the new gallery look, but I don't think they're on there anymore. I'll have to wait until I get back to post em again.

Some of you might remember seeing it. It is the teal blue with painted bumpers and painted with the "Boss 302 Mustang" stripes scheme.
I am asking $1500 for it. I live in Wichita, as well so that's pretty close to KC. I have replaced alot of stuff and even tinted the windows last Oct. I get alot of compliments on my "Boss 1302 Festiva"! I even had one guy in Taco Bell ask me if it was a special edition Festiva! LOL. It is probably the most dependable car I have ever owned. I'd prefer not selling it, but I'm buying a new Explorer, plus I already have a Neon, a Nissan Pickup and my daughter will be getting a car this summer. Too many cars, so I must choose between my workhorse truck and the Bosstiva. It's a hard choice and I still go back n forth with it, but it'll have to be the Boss in the end.

If the guy back home doesn't want it, and you're still in the market, then I'll post again with some pics.

Boss 429 mustangs did not have a shaker available. It was on the Boss 302 and Mach 1 mustangs. Although it would be cool to fabricate one on a Festiva!

That's correct, the BOSS 429 did not come with a Shaker but just a really big hood scoop. Putting a BOSS 9 scoop on a Festiva hood.... well... that would take up the whole hood :shock:

and yeah u guys are right, the boss 9 didnt have the shaker, we are thinking the hemi 'tiva migth be cooler than the boss 1.3 i wish the festy was a manual though so we could put a mopar pistol grip on it, oh well the shaker, blacked out tail panel area, and billboard stripes will be cool, and mopar rally wheels kind of look like festiva steel wheels. ill make sure to post pics here if we go threw with it.
