how do you tell a real Aspire SE vs an Aspire that was converted into an SE?

I am looking at one and it does not have a 5 speed and it does not have A/C but it does have fog light, the spoiler, cloth door pannels with map compartments, and blue faced Instrument Cluster

Is the spoiler jus double sided taped on or is it incorporated with the glass? I know you said it has the blue face cluster but is there a tach? What wheels are on it? Any pics?

don't know about spoiler... it does have the tach.... it has original standard Aspire hubcaps on 13" steel wheels

Dang, wish my aspire had a tac. How exactly does one expect to shift gears properly without either a tac or loud exhaust.

That same tach cluster also came in black faced but only in KM/H and was never sold in North America

Does it say "SE" under the Aspire name on the doors and hatch?

i guess the fastest way to tell, would be to look at the title or registration?
mine is listed as a base model but the se may be listed as se

this one says Aspire SE on the doors... There is no logo on the hatch

Yellow, I've seen black faced tach clusters in MPH, Only ever one, but it was on Ebay, so they made them in MPH somewhere lol.

Oh and ps. That one is almost definitely an SE. Check the buttons for rear defrost etc. SE's had a fog light button in their as well, The glass formed around the spoilers, not just stick on. Most aspire owners will try to buy the whole SE Hatch, or cut the studs off of the spoiler and stick it on. That car looks like an SE, and a solid one at that.
