I dunno much about our cars' aussie cousins, but I think the australian 121 was available with a B5 (1.5L SOHC 16V). It could be one of those cause the valve cover doesn't look like any B3 or B6 ones I've ever seen, and it does say 16V on it and its definitely a single cam. maybe one of our members from down under can shed a bit more light on the subject.

I don't think the Aussie cars were EFI. So it could be a B3.

ah, looks like the 1.3L in the early versions of the 121 DB Bubble small sedans before they went 1.5L EFI. introduced about early 93 or late 92 (after the Festiva version) i think.

Eunos Roadster is the same car just the Japanese domestic market version. Eunos at the time being the more upsec luxury range of Mazda much like how Toyota has Lexus.

ah, I see... I pride myself on knowing just about everything about just about every american-made and american import car from the 70s up, but have lately been finding out that I know absolutely nothing cars overseas... I'm trying to learn!
