Festiva Spoted, Who Are You?

So my Girlfriend was driving in portage Mi. She spotted this festiva.

Pics of me. Thats the only one i have of the spotted festiva.

My great grandpa bought my festiva at sherwood ford in STL. My family is from the Lou. My grandpa still lives there in St. Charles, He worked and retired from the ford plant.

After my great-grandpa died, my mom and me got the festiva. She drove it for a few years. Then once she got a new car it went to my Aunt and Uncle. They had it in Madison WI for a few years, gave it back leaking oil and running like crap.

My mom, dad and I took it back, I hated it in highschool So i chose to drive a 79 buick lesabre four door. When my dad was driving it he gave it the nickname of "lil red rocket" its anything but a rocket.

I started to drive it during my first few years of collage. My dad took a job transfer and My parents moved from Kalamazoo Mi to Racine Wi. They took the festiva with them. It was there for a few more years.

Sorry Im missing dates and times of ownership. I just know that Its ALWAYS been in my Family.

Well any who's, my parents gave me the festiva, broken again, not running. I gave it a tune-up and battery and off we went again. I got the "rocket" in 2007-2008 i think.

Ive been only driving it in the summer due to its small wheels and not fun winter driving it subjects us to.

That puts my story up to last fall. The girl friend was driving it late one night after a cancer event she was doing with one of her friend. She was coming down a back road and BOOM, out jumped a pack of deer. She got two of them. Smashed the upper radiator core support, broke the grill, drivers headlamp, turn signal, popped the radiator,bent the hood. She smashed Stuff. Bad Stuff. Oh, and she popped a rear brake line. OH NO, NO BRAKES!

I found a front clip that i purchased and havent welded it on yet but thats for this winter. I have a radiator in it and have it running again. Now to get it up to my job and put a line in it.

Then i drive it till the snow flys and put it away.

Pull the motor and trans out of Frogstiva, pull the suspension and try to get it all swapped be for summer again. Scrap the frogstiva shell and get a rust free one too do a PN swap on.

Definitely someone on here with that hood modification. That came from either Junspeed, or Ernst (I don't remember who made those)

I knew they had to be a nut, of some sorts.

Saw the hood, mud flaps, foglamps and such. Not assuming that Grandma was still driving that thing. Has to be someone who cares.

I have a new factory defrost windshield for the rear, havent installed the power mirrors or factory spoiler.

That hood is a GTX hood. They were around before Jun or Ernst were on here. I have a GTX hood that is not from Jun or Ernst

There is a good chance of the owner being a member!
