First you need to see if the starter is good. Jump between the large Battery cable terminal and the small push on terminal on the starter....it should crank. If not, check to make sure juice is at the battery terminal on the starter. If there is and the starter does not crank ...it is a bad starter. If the starter cranks...then the fault is in the wiring somewhere.

Ill tackle the starter in the net couple of days. I have tried several times to move the shifter around between park and neutral with no effect.
Thanks for your help and taking the time to assist. This car war a barn find, single owner with 132K on it. It looked like a fun project.

Update: I put in a new fuel pump, new fuel filter (metal) with screen. I then gave it a shot and she did fire and ran fro about 30 seconds then died when i attempted to accelerate. I then tried to crank it again, nothing. I crawled under and tapped the starter and starter solenoid with a hammer and after doing this a few time she cranked again but did not start. she will crank a short while then will freeze up. Im sure Ill have to pull the starter and check it out. I also check the fuel filter and fuel did drain out. any suggestions now of why it wont fire?

Those plugs are for testing.
Old gas? Ethanol poisoning? Water separation? Check with a flashlight.Last edited by bravekozak; 08-15-2014, 07:34 PM.

Yes..,, vane air flow. It measures air drawn into the engine to control fuel metering. The fuel pump switch is also in the VAF and if bad the car will not run. I just bought a 93 GL that would only run for 30 seconds. Put a used VAF on it and it has run ever since."Fred" 93 Festiva L B6-ME Swap
